Medicine interviews for Keele University for 2026 entry will start in December 2025 and run until April 2026.
For candidates to be considered for interview, they must first meet the minimum academic and aptitude test requirements.
Shortlisting for interview is based on UCAT scores and the Personal Statement. The UCAT score is given points by quintile (i.e 5 points for 1st quintile, 4 points for 2nd quintile, etc). The SJT is also scored (Band 1 = 2 points and Band 2 = 1 point). This gives a maximum possible score of 10.
The Personal Statement is assessed based on the Keele Medical Student person specification, and given a total score out of 15. The characteristics taken into account are outlined on this page.
For international students, shortlisting is based on UCAT rankings. A score of at least 1,950 and SJT Band 3 must be achieved. Total scores of applicants are ranked, with the Verbal Reasoning score used in the event of a tie.
For 2025 entry into the A100 course, there were 2,743 applications for 171 places. They aim to invite 620-650 to interview for 2026 entry.
Keele sends interview invitations on a rolling basis from December onwards. It aims to send invitations out at least two weeks before the interview date.
An early interview does not indicate a better application or an increased likelihood of receiving an offer.
For 2026 entry, Keele University will use the panel interview format for its Medicine interviews. They will be held online between December 2025 and April 2026. The interview consists of two 15-minute interviews, approximately 2 hours apart. There will be some materials to read in advance, normally 1-2 days before the interview.
