InvestIN’s Young Dentist Summer Experience
InvestIN’s Dentistry Summer School offers an immersive experience where students can observe and participate in the daily activities of dentists in a dental clinic.
Under the guidance of experienced dentists, students will learn how to drill teeth, suture and take impressions on phantom heads. They’ll also get to interact with real patients, taking their histories.
Students will then be able to explore various specializations within dentistry, including orthodontics, surgery, and dental public health, as well as exciting interdisciplinary fields such as dentistry in business and clinical trials.
To enhance their professional network, students will also attend a private networking event with dentists and dental students.
Who Is The InvestIN Experience For?
InvestIN’s Young Dentist Summer Experience is designed for students aged 15-18 who are interested in pursuing a career in dentistry and are looking to gain a competitive edge in the admissions process for top dental schools.
During the programme, students undergo rigorous dental training and receive comprehensive coaching on how to successfully navigate the application process.
At the end of the programme, students will complete an online assessment and earn a certificate which can be included in their university applications.
Additionally, students receive a personalised industry reference letter from dentists, confirming the achievements and skills they have gained through the programme.
My highlight was visiting the university hospital and working on composite fillings on phantom heads. I also loved getting to understand the more psychological aspects of dentistry and practise patient interactions in the virtual reality simulations.

When is the registration deadline?

Do I get a certificate?
Yes, you will receive a bespoke certificate to include in all of your future applications. You can also request letters of attendance at [email protected].
Is accommodation provided?
You can choose to add an accommodation package to your booking where you will be allocated to the University of London’s Garden Halls, College Hall, or International Hall. You will be offered a private room, 3 meals a day, and 24/7 guardianship. On top of that, you can enjoy various communal areas and evening activities organised by safeguarding team.
Do I need prior knowledge?
No prior knowledge is required for the programme.
