Interview Advice!?

Where us the best place to research up on current medical issues that might come up in interview?

Hi Emily, from a fellow person who is soon to be interviewed for medicine…
As well as what’s below, I find the Guardian news website has loads of articles about the NHS and healthcare issues. Digestible reading!
Medical journals, especially those doing qualitative research or which include the more social aspects affecting healthcare, may also be helpful to give insight to foreign healthcare provision and health-related stats, compared to GB/ wherever you are writing from.
Talking to healthcare workers you know, esp. those with more experience who can talk about current issues affecting the medical workforce.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

Hi Emily,

Thank you for your question. We have a page on NHS Hot Topics – including the Junior Doctor Contract, artificial intelligence in medicine, the Bawa-Garba case and the NHS and Brexit – here:

We also publish medical news summaries every week, and we also have answer guides for interview questions on NHS Hot Topics here:

Hope this helps! 🙂
