GP jobs advertising £10,000 per session?!?

Hi,

I recently came across some GP jobs online that were advertising £9000+ per session. I was wondering whether I am reading this wrong, because 6 sessions a week calculates at just under £3m a year.  I am sure this can’t be possible for a GP.  I have attached a link to a job posting below, and you can find many more online. I must be missing something! Can someone please help?? Thanks!

They mean 9k per session per annum. So 8 sessions (4 days) is 72k. You’ll have to pay tax on that so you’ll take home about two thirds.
