Barts or Kings?

Hi, Ive been fortunate enough to get an offer from kings and barts. Im really struggling to decide between the two.

I found barts to be a lot more friendly than kings and that also found that kings had a much lower student satisfaction.

My heart was really set on kings when I first applied. Im worried that itll be ultra competitive and that if I do struggle with stuff that I would not get the support that I might need.

Id appreciate any help/answers that any of you can give me!!!

Hi there,

Thank you for your question. This is ultimately a personal decision – however there are a range of factors to take into consideration:

  • Which course/teaching style do you prefer?
  • Which campus did you prefer when you looked around?
  • Where do you think you’ll feel most comfortable?

Ultimately, there’s no ‘better’ medical school as all will result in a GMC-approved medical degree, and as the unis are both in London our best advice would be to choose where you feel most comfortable.

You might also find it helpful to read our blog on how to choose between your offers: https://www.themedicportal.com/blog/how-to-choose-between-your-med-school-offers/

Hope this helps a little! 🙂
