The first thing you have to do to register for UCAT in Australia and New Zealand is to create an online account. You’ll need this because you have to book for yourself – you can’t get your school or parent to do it for you.
Make sure you register with the exact name that’s on your ID, because you’ll have to show this at the test centre. Be careful to give the correct email too.
You’ll also need to answer the registration questionnaire (get a preview here) and then you’ll have to wait for your password to come via email – and contact Pearson VUE if it doesn’t arrive within 36 hours.
It’s worth knowing that don’t have to book your test date at the same time as you register – you can do this at a later date. But once you are registered, that’s when you can apply for UCATSEN or other access arrangements, and for the concession scheme.
There are a number of test centres in major towns in Australia and New Zealand. In Australia there are test centres in Canberra, Newcastle, Sydney, Darwin, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Townsville, Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth – and beyond. In New Zealand, you’ll find test centres in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, New Plymouth, Tauranga, and Wellington.
The best way to find your nearest centre is to search on the Test Centre Locator.
It’s important to be aware that test centres don’t offer the UCAT every day, so you need to check availability before you try and book a specific date.
If you need to reschedule your exam, you can do this via your online account up until the late booking deadline. To reschedule your UCAT ANZ test after the deadline, it’s a bit more complicated. You can see the full process here.
