All our tutors are hand-selected and trained by The Medic Portal’s doctor-led team. You can choose between two equally excellent options: TMP tutors (current medical students) who have scored highly in the UCAT and know the process inside-out, or qualified doctors who bring a wealth of real-world insight. Whichever you choose, you’ll be learning from someone with first-hand experience, specialist training, and a track record of delivering exceptional results.
Anusha is a current medical student at the University of Plymouth and has an interest in the specialities of dermatology and plastic surgery. She’s worked for The Medic Portal for 3+ years, with experience of tutoring all the steps required for a medical school application, including UCAT, interview and personal statement.
Anusha says: “I’m friendly and eager to help my students achieve a spot in their dream medical school through bespoke guidance and insider tips and strategies. I aim to inspire confidence in my students and I support them every step of the way.”
Josh is an MBPhD at Imperial College London. His research is in Bioengineering and focusses on the development of an electrically responsive material to improve how drugs are delivered to brain tumours. He is able to discuss his research with you and teaches a research course with the TMP on how to write a scientific paper.
Alongside his research, Josh is eager to assist students in their medical school application, be it tips for the UCAT or interview prep. He has taught at The Medic Portal for over 5 years and brings a wealth of experience across all aspects of the medical school application. You may recognise him from our online UCAT course!
Despite having taught hundreds of students, Josh takes a tailored approach to each and every student, adapting his teaching style to their needs.
