Are you looking for first-class medical study along with interactive placements in local hospitals? This is your blueprint for the next five years if you choose to study Medicine at the Queen Mary University of London in Malta.
You’ll study the exact same MBBS course as students studying at the campus in London, and you’ll be awarded the same UK Medicine MBBS qualification on graduating.
Year 1: The first year focuses on the main organ systems in the human body. During the first nine weeks, you’ll study the fundamentals of Medicine and then revisit each subject in greater detail each year.
Year 2: In this year, you will be expanding upon what you learned in Year 1, covering areas such as cardiorespiratory, metabolism and human development.
Year 3: In third year, students are introduced to clinical Medicine through a series of placements in associated teaching hospitals and community placements in Malta and Gozo.
Year 4: Much of the fourth year is exploring further clinical work but in a variety of different areas.
Year 5: This is the final stretch and is dedicated to practice preparation. Plenty of time is spent in hospitals and community placements, providing hands-on experience into the working life of a Doctor.
