Our Pathways to Medicine programme offers determined and passionate individuals a chance to continue their journey towards a career in medicine.

Through our Pathways to Medicine, you will join one of 5 BSc undergraduate courses in medical science subjects, including:

• Applied Medical Sciences – Study a range of medical science topics including anatomy and physiology
• Medical Biochemistry – Develop specialist knowledge about the causes and effects of disease and how we develop novel treatments
• Medical Genetics – Learn how genetics impacts how we understand, diagnose and treat diseases
• Medical Pharmacology – Build your knowledge in the science behind drugs and medicines 
• Population Health and Medical Sciences – An ideal springboard for health management 

These degrees cover key areas of medical sciences to build the knowledge, skills and experience that will play a large role in your medical studies and your future career as a doctor. You will also attend clinical teaching modules, designed to increase your skills and knowledge in medicine. 

You will participate in clinical observation placements and have the opportunity of a guaranteed interview for our accelerated, 4-year Graduate Entry Medicine course with a lowered GAMSAT score*.  

By taking this route, you will study for a total of seven years (only one more year than an intercalated medicine degree, and two more years than undergraduate medicine), graduating with two standalone degrees while building a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience to set you on the best footing for a successful career in medicine.
