Keele University Medical Interviews

Medicine interviews for Keele University usually start in December and run until March. This is the confirmed date range for 2024 entry.

For candidates to be considered for interview, they must first meet the minimum academic and aptitude test requirements. Those who pass this initial academic screening are ranked based on their Roles + Responsibilities (R+R) forms. The draft R+R form for 2023 entry can be accessed here.

UCAT scores will not be considered any further, except as a tie-breaker between students with the same score on the R+R form. The UCAT cut-off score for 2022 entry was 2280 Band 4. The cut-off varies each year, depending on the competition.

For international students, shortlisting is based on BMAT rankings. The total score is calculated by adding the three section scores together and adjusting the Section 3 score, based on the alphabetic (A to E) score. This gives a score out of a total possible of 24.25. The cut-off depends on the competition for that year.

For 2021 entry into the A100 course, there were 2,542 applications for 164 places.

Keele sends interview invitations on a rolling basis from December onwards. It aims to send invitations out at least two weeks before the interview date. An early interview does not indicate a better application or an increased likelihood of receiving an offer.
